Pranayama – breathing exercises

Human beings can live without food for some weeks, without water for some days but only a few minutes without breathing. To breathe means to be alive. We breathe approximately 25,920 times per day and thus not only take in the necessary oxygen but also Prana, the life force. Most people, however, dont breathe deep enough and do  not absorb enough oxygen. This very often is due to wrong living habits which cause stress and strain on the body and thus result in lack of energy and easy tiredness. Yoga exercises help to revitalize the body and bring back energy and good health.

Breathing exercises can also help to avoid or overcome stage fright, anxiety, depressive and ill-tempered moods. With regular pranayama one never gets easily tired again.
